This US based information software business was looking to enhance its dominant position in North America by enhancing its European footprint out of London. Since we deal extensively within the European Information and Software vendor markets we were able to advise on the suitability of numerous potential candidates.

Methodology

• Detailed discussions with the CEO and US based Global Head of Sales.

• We were able to effectively sell the business proposition and provide an immediate initial shortlist of five suitable candidates.

• Having met the short-listed candidates the client wanted to progress rapidly to the offer phase involving projected business plan presentations as a candidate differentiator.

• By pre-closing the candidates and gaining verbal acceptance of remuneration levels we were able to provide a clean closure on the preferred option.

Results

• The client was able to secure the new Head of European Sales in six weeks (it is usual for these positions to take three/six months to close).

• The incumbent possessed all the desired requirements including a European hedge fund client base plus additional specific software business building within a start-up technology company.
